How People Treat Each Other

I read a great quote the other day that I thought you'd all like:

"An individual will start to treat himself like others have treated him! And you can put that down as a law.  He'll treat himself as others have treated him.  And he will also treat others as he treats himself. Works both ways." - L. Ron Hubbard

I can think of many times I've acted how others said or expected I'd act - even if I didn't really want to.  I've then treated others in the same way.  It's pretty interesting how this vicious circle occurs - you treat someone poorly, they treat another poorly, etc.

Have you ever encountered this?

Yes. @ my last job, I was treated like crap. The whole company had culture of conflict. Starting from the top down, everyone would yell @ the person beneath them. And I found myself becoming less patient with people, and more rude to others. I didn't even realize it @ the time, that's just how I was.

Once I left, & got a job with a more relaxed environment, I recognized how I used to be, & become more calm.

First of all ,how an individual will treat others depends on where he is on the emotional tone scale! The low tone individul will treat others in the reactive way,the way that is dictated to him by his reactive mind. The highertone individual will treat others in more analytical way! So... Do you want to treat others better - rise your tone! Do you want others will treat your better-free them from their reactive mind, and they will treat you more honestly and better! This is what the good auditing(or communication) does: rises person on emotional tone scale, and the person becomes better in treting himself and others!
